About Chapel Hill

Tar Heel Country

Chapel Hill, North Carolina is commonly known as the "Southern Part of Heaven."  And we're proud to call it home.

Home of the University of North Carolina, this vibrant college town is often featured on lists of the best places to live and visit in America.  UNC-Chapel Hill is the oldest public university in the nation, and the town has grown up around it.  We've been proudly serving this community for nearly a century, and while there have been a lot of changes over that time, the heart of this community remains the same.

Chapel Hill is anchored by Franklin Street, which is the cultural and economic center of the town.  Stroll up and down, and you'll find southern hospitality, local businesses, college town flair, and a whole lot of Carolina Blue.  Franklin Street is where both locals and visitors meet, and have a bite or drink together.

If you're making an overnight trip, there are several hotels downtown that will put you within walking distance of campus (and us).  You can fill your days by visiting local attractions like the Ackland Art Museum, UNC Basketball Museum, Memorial Hall, Planetarium, and dining and drinking until you're thoroughly stuffed.

We invite you to come visit this piece of heaven and if you have any questions during your stay, please ask our team.  We love where we live, and we know you'll enjoy your time here.
